PTI candidates win NA-250, PS-112, 113's seats from Karachi (20 May 2013)


Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) candidates have won NA-250 and PS-112, 113 from Karachi according to unofficial counting of votes, SAMAA reports. 

Dr. Arif Alvi has won National Assembly seat of NA-250 after beating MQM’s candidate Khush Bakht Shujat by 47,294 votes.

According to unofficial accumulative counting of all polling stations of NA-250, PTI’s Arif Alvi has taken 77,659 votes and MQM candidate Khush Bakht Shujat has taken 30,365 votes.

The unofficial results show clearly that PTI candidate Alvi has defeated MQM candidate by over 47,296 votes. Voters turn out count shows that 35.84 percent votes have been polled in NA-250, informed the returning officer.

Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf candidates have also won both provincial seats of PS-112 and PS-113. Khurram Sher Zaman has taken 33,560 votes to secure PS-112’s seat while Samar Ali Khan took 38, 247 votes and stood victorious in PS-113.

MQM’s Hafiz Sohail Ahmad took 22,973 votes in PS-112 and secured second position while PML-N candidate Salim Zia took 11,753 votes in PS-113 and emerged as runner up in this constituency.

The MQM has rejected re-polling at 43 polling stations of NA-250 and PS-112, 113 while terming it a robbery of their mandate.
